Introduction
CivicCare Expedition 2026 is an educational expedition program organized by students from the Diploma in Tourism Management. The program is held in Semporna, Sabah, which is well known as one of the most popular marine tourism destinations in Malaysia.
This program is organized to provide students with the opportunity to gain direct experience in the tourism field through destination exploration, marine recreational activities, and community engagement programs. In addition, the program also exposes students to the beauty of nature and the unique lifestyle of local communities around Semporna, Sabah. Through the activities carried out, participants are able to enhance their knowledge of tourism destinations while also appreciating the importance of preserving the natural environment for future generations.
Destination
The CivicCare Expedition 2026 program takes place in Semporna, Sabah, which is famous for its beautiful islands and unique marine ecosystem. The area is one of the main attractions for both local and international tourists who wish to experience the beauty of the sea and nature-based tourism activities.
One of the main locations for this program is Pulau Omadal, where a community charity activity will be carried out with the local residents. In addition, participants will also visit Pulau Bohey Dulang, an island that is well known for its breathtaking panoramic view from the hilltop and its crystal-clear sea water.

The theme for CivicCare Expedition 2026 is Adventure, Community and Nature Experience.
This theme highlights the combination of adventure activities, tourism experiences, and community involvement. Through this theme, participants are able to explore the natural environment while also contributing to the local community.

1. CSR Food Basket At Pulau Omaidal with KK Semporna
One of the main activities in CivicCare Expedition 2026 is the CSR Food Basket program held at Pulau Omadal in collaboration with KK Semporna. This activity focuses on community service where participants distribute food baskets and essential supplies to the local community.
The purpose of this activity is to support families in need while strengthening the relationship between students and the local community. Through this program, participants are able to understand the daily life of island residents and develop a sense of social responsibility.
2. Marine Activity: Sea Walking Exploring Experience
Participants will also take part in an exciting marine activity known as sea walking in the waters around Semporna. Sea walking allows participants to walk on the seabed while wearing a special helmet that provides oxygen.
